Day 1: Dushanbe
Welcome to Tajikistan tour 8. Meet our guide and drive to Dushanbe. On arrival, you will have the city tour and visit the Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. Then walk to the National park to take photos of Ministry of Inner Affairs and admire the biggest National Flag in the world of 165 m high pole, 30 m wide, 60 m long. Then we will visit the Gurminj Museum of traditional musical instruments as well as Asian bazar. In the evening you will see the main highlights of Dushanbe. Night is in a hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe - Seven Lakes
This day of tour will start by travelling to the Fannsky Gory (Fann Mountains). On the way you will see the wonderful path of Shahriston (3 378 m). On arrival, you will enjoy hiking tour and take may photos. You will see the Seven Lakes (Marquzor Lakes) at about 60 km south of Panjakent where 7 lakes are located. They are famous for colorful shapes and transparent waters. We hope you liked it on tours. Night is in a homestay.
Day 3: Seven Lakes - Penjakent
The morning will start by driving to Penjakent located in Khujand area of Tajikistan in the Zeravshan river valley. This area has rich history and appeared in the 5th-8th centuries AD. Penjikent was cultural and crafts centers of Sogd and called the "Central Asian Pompeii" with a ruler's palace, two temples, markets, rich dwelling houses decorated with numerous paintings, wooden and clay statues of ancient gods. The ruins were found only in the last century. The tourists can see the remains of dwelling houses and office buildings, the citadel with the palace, the house of craftsmen, and fire worshiper's church. Rest is in a hotel.
Day 4: Penjakent - Iskanderkul Lake
Today we will drive to the high Mountain lake - Iskanderkul of 2 255 m. a. s. l, situated in the famous Fann Mountains. You will be impressed by one of the best places of Central Asia. Travelers will have an opportunity to walk around sandy beaches and take vibrant photos on tours. We will hike 40 minutes in order to see a waterfall. Tajikistan is the second place of the CIS countries for volume of water resources as well as the highest water reserves of all Central Asian countries with more than 1 000 rivers, 2 000 lakes and 8000 glaciers. Night is in a homestay.
Day 5: Iskanderkul lake - Dushanbe - Hissor
The last day of tour will start by driving to Dushanbe. Your way will pass over Anzob pass of 3 372 m and tunnel of Isticlol. On the way, you will have breaks for rest and take many beautiful photos. In the afternoon, we will drive to Hisor fortress (VII-XVII centuries), 35 km from Dushanbe. You will see fortified areas and citadel used to be the house of the representative of the Emir of Bukhara, located on a high hill of 1 m thick walls and loopholes for guns. The place has a pool and a garden and crossways from the fortress there was an eventful market square with a caravan serai and many shops. Hisar includes "Madrasa I Kuhna" as a new school of 16th-17th centuries, mosque; the mausoleum of "Mahdumi Azam" belonging to the 16th century. Transfer to a hotel.
Day 6: Flight
In the morning is transfer to the airport. We are blessed by Tajikistan tour 8!
