Day 1: Bishkek - Ala Archa - Bishkek
Welcome! We are happy that you chose Silk Road Tours 2. When you arrive at Manas International Airport you will be met by the driver who accompany you to the capital of Kyrgyzstan - Bishkek. It will take 30 minutes from airport. Then you will have a city tour and visit the Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic and other places of visit. Afterwards you will travel to natural Ala Archa gorge. It will take 45 km from the capital. Reaching there, you will be impressed by amazing park, which is located on a spur of the Tien Shan mountain range. You will have an opportunity to enjoy picnic and hike. In the end of day, you will back to Bishkek and spend night in a hotel.
Day 2: Bishkek - Burana - Issyk Kul northern shore
Breakfast at 8 a.m. We will drive to the attracting Issyk Kul lake. The nature will inspire you on the way. Issyk Kul lake is the second largest alpine lake in the world of 1608 m. above sea level. It never gets freeze due to salty bottom. On route, you will visit the Burana Tower, belonging to the 11th century and an open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). Stone warriors are dedicated to brave soldiers who died protecting their country. The tour will be continued driving to Cholpon Ata city. You will see ancient stone inscriptions dating to the 800 B.C. They are made by shamans of about 2000 years ago. There is a local ethnography museum located near. Your night is in a hotel.
Day 3: Issyk Kul - Grigorievskoye - Semenovskoye - Karakol
Today you will drive to the beautiful Semenovskoye and Grigorievskoye. They are connected at the end and inspired travelers from around the world. On arrival, you will see green grass, lakes as well as fir trees. No doubt you will like it. You can take photos a well as and see one of the beautiful views of panorama. It is best for a hiking trips and picnic. We will continue drive to Karakol city, where you can visit the Dungan mosque. It was made in Chinese style, without nails. Don't miss to visit an old wooden Orthodox Church. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 4: Karakol - Skazka - Bokonbaevo
We are glad to present the next day of a tour visiting to Jeti Oguz gorge or Seven Bulls. You will see seven red rocks placed in row. There is also the Broken Heart Mountain on back. It is better to spend 20 minutes in order to see panoramic view. Take an opportunity of capturing incredible photos. We will drive by the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, for about 4 km from Tosor village and see the famous Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon. It was interesting shapes changing forms every time when rain and wind come. Afterwards we will drive to Bokonbaevo village to see eagle hunter. You will see eagle show and take photos with birds. In the end of day, you will spend night in nomadic felt dwelling - yurt.
Day 5: Bokonbaevo - Kyzyl Tuu - Bishkek
The day will start by driving to Bishkek city. On the way you will enjoy the pristine nature and visit Kyzyl Tuu village, where you can have master class of creating yurt. Yurts are made from felt and wooden skeleton. Then, we will continue our way to Bishkek. Night will be spent in a hotel.
Day 6: Bishkek - Almaty
The morning will start by driving to Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is another country of Central Asia included on Silk Road Tours 2. It will take about 4 hours. On arrival you will have a city tour. It will allow you to take vibrant photos and enjoy modern architecture. There are lots of sites and highlights in the city and must be seen on tours. Start visiting the famous Green Bazaar. You will find there everything you want starting from oriental goods to sweets. Afterwards you can visit oldest Almaty parks as Panfilov Park! On near you will find Zenkov Cathedral. The tour will be continued visiting the Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame! This site made for heroes who fought for freedom of country. Later on, you will drive to the Medeo Gorge. It is the best place for skating! The nature of frozen mountains and landscape will not leave anyone indifferent. On the way you will see the famous Kok-Tobe hill, where the tallest TV tower in the world is located. You can find thee souvenir shops and get gifts to your family and friends. The tour will end by seeing the whole city by the famous Almaty cableway. Afterwards, you will drive to hotel.
Day 7: Almaty - Issyk - Almaty
After having a hearty breakfast, you will visit amazing gorges as Trans-Ili Alatau or Issyk Gorge. It is located on the Kuldja tract. In past time, it was the main road for caravans. It is the great idea to see the unique views of mountains! Being there you will find the burial mounds of Saka period and "Golden Man" which is considered to be the state symbol of Kazakhstan. Further you will visit the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "ISSYK", which shows the history and culture of the Saka period and Golden Man. You will find golden items, ancient ceramics, weapon, elements of horse equipment and the model of Saka burial mound. Passing by an altitude of 1756 meters above sea level you will find wonderful Issyk lake found 10 000 years ago because of landslide which created a dam with height of 300 meters. In addition, you can have picnic and hike. In the end of day, we will back to hotel.
Day 8: Almaty - Tashkent
Morning flight to Tashkent at 12:15. You will arrive at Tashkent international airport at 12:50 and meet the driver. He will accompany you to the city. On arrival, you will have a city tour and visit the Independence Square built for the victory over fascism in World War II. Then, you can walk to the local Broadway near Independence Square and Amir Timur square. Being in Tashkent, it is important to visit famous Tashkent metro opened in 1977. Later on, walk to the old places like Chorsu Bazaar, Kukaldash Madrasah and Hast Imam and see different madrasahs, mosques and mausoleum. There is the Othman Quran which is the world's oldest Quran copy found in the 8th century is located near. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 9: Tashkent - Samarkand
We are glad to impress you by the next tour of travelling to Samarkand by train. The wonderful country od Samarkand is situated in the Valley of Zerafshan River. It is the second largest city of Uzbekistan the same as Babylon and Rome. Visit sacred sites as Registan square, Shakhi-Zindeh, Mausoleum Guri Emir and Bibi Khanum Mosque. Registan Square has three amazing Madrasahs belonging to the 15th -17th centuries. Shakhi-Zindeh has a big collection of mausoleums belonging to the 11th-15th centuries and included to UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bibi Khanum Mosque is Tamerlane's beloved wife castle. After productive day, you will spend night in the hotel.
Day 10: Samarkand - Gijduvan - Bukhara
Today we will drive to Bukhara city. We would like you not to pass by sacred Gijduvan village. There is private pottery workshop is located. Gijduvan ceramics has a rich history of skills passed from generation to generation as well as it is a home for the sixth generation of potters from Narzullayevs family and Gijduvan school ceramics. Gijduvan School of ceramics attracts travelers with geometric patterns as green and blue colors. We continue our way to Bukhara. Visit the memorial complex of Al Bukhary on the way. Al Bukhary was the famous academic who represented the hadith collection as Sahih al-Bukhari made by Sunni Muslims. We have no doubt you will be satisfied with such unique history on tours. On arrival to Bukhara, your will rest in a hotel.
Day 11: Bukhara - Tashkent
Today is the last day of our tour. We promise to make it unforgettable! You will start visiting the ancient citadel in Bukhara as Citadel Ark belonging to the 4th century. In past times, it united several dynasties of Bukhara Empire. Then you can drive to Samanids mausoleum found in the 9th - 10th century. Later on, visit Chashma Ayub or Job's well and Bolo-Hauz mosque, famous for forty columns built in honor of Bukhara governor Abu-Fayud Khan. Being there you will find shops where you can buy souvenirs. Afterwards you can visit the most famous madrasahs of Bukhara as Nodir Divan Begi being a part of Lyabi House Ensemble. Visit Poi Kalon complex which has three structures belonging to the 12th - 16th centuries as Kalon minaret, Kalon mosque and Mir Arab Madrasah. In the end of day, you will have flight to Tashkent. We are sure you will satisfied by our tours. Overnight is in a hotel.
